E. Paul Durrenberger is a retired anthropologist and the author of more than 30 books. In The Dawn of Industrial Agriculture in Iowa, (University Press of Colorado, 2021) he documents the processes and policies by which an infrastructure was built within which today’s agriculture would develop.
