The rural vote is vital on November 5. Even a small shift in the electoral margins of rural counties could determine the outcome of the presidential election in battleground states. Down ballot, the stakes are just as high. Candidates for state legislature, city council, local school boards and even judges and police commissioners will make important decisions on issues in their community like education, housing services, public transportation and health care. Those aligned with the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 pose a major threat to many of these public services.
